Penetrant inspection is a technique used to detect surface breaking flaws. The technique can be used on all metals, non-porous and other materials. The testing workshop at International NDT’s office in Hamble, UK, is equipped to carry out flourescent dye penetrant inspections. This method is more sensitive than many on-site techniques and can be used to examine complex shaped and threaded parts.
There are two main methods generally adopted by International NDT: in-house flourescent water washable, and visible red, which is more often used on-site.
